Greetings from Leicester, Vermont, where the air is clean, the music is new, and the spiders are the size of my palm! I'm a participant and staff accompanist at the New Music on the Point Festival from June 2-17. The first half week has not only been a musical success, it's been a blast! I played Joan Tower's solo piano pieces Ivory and Ebony and Steps in a concert last night, and next week I'll be performing new chamber music works by the New Music on the Point (NMOP) student composers. I've been working closely with the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) to prepare for upcoming performances - it's been an exhausting five days, but I'm looking forward to continuing for another week!
