It's going to be a big rush to the weekend: two back to back concerts tonight and tomorrow. The first, my Master's Recital at Indiana University, a solo concert featuring works by Bach, Schubert, Chopin and Bartók; the second a solo appearance as part of the IU New Music Ensemble Concert Friday evening. We have the distinct honor of welcoming American composer Joan Tower to IU for this concert cycle and I will be performing her solo piano piece "Ivory and Ebony" (2009) as part of a program that also features her String Quartet No. 4 "Angels," her Brass Quintet, Benjamin Britten's Sinfonietta, Opus 1 (1932) and a commission by one of IU fantastic student composers.
Come one come all Thursday and Friday nights to Indiana University's Auer Hall - more info in the "Performances" section
