What a summer! After a glorious seven weeks in France with the European American Musical Alliance festival in Paris and the Pablo Casals Festival in Prades (Languedoc-Rousillon region near the Spanish border), I've spent the past week getting myself set up for the imminent move to Los Angeles!
Here's all the news that's fit to print thus far:
- I'll be doing some accompaniment work at The Colburn School in LA starting in the fall;
- My dear friend, clarinetist Andrea Vos-Rochefort, and I - after two very successful concerts in Paris this summer - have formed a duo we so cleverly call Crazy Town: Population 2 (CT:2 for short - see picture above from our July 13 concert in Paris). Our first American concert is scheduled for September 10th in Ames, IA. More details to come;
- I have decided on a program for my upcoming Italian/American music at the Instituto Italiano di Cultura in LA (December 8, 2013): Scarlatti, Rzewski, Carter, Berio, Rota and Biscardi !
Stay tuned for more updates and concert information.
